I can't believe that my little girl is growing up so fast. I was fighting back the tears today at her kindergarten program as I thought about her leaving me all day next year to go to first grade. I always tell her that she will always be my little girl, no matter how big she gets!

My girls favorite thing to do this spring has been going to IFA to hold the bunnies. I'm not sure how much the bunnies liked it, but Bailey and Bryn were on cloud 9!

Marathon

Dave has always had a marathon on his bucket list. After training for only 6 weeks he ran the Ogden Marathon and finished in 4 hours 45 minutes. He could have finshed sooner if he didn't have to stop and go to the bathroom 3 times! It's a good thing that he doesn't read my blog, or I could be in trouble for sharing too much information! We are very proud of him.

Los Cabos

One of the major perks that come with Dave's job are the awesome trips that we get to go on. This last one was to Los Cabos Mexico! So,after a hecktic week of moving we boarded the plane for some R&R, just what we needed.

What's new

Well, not much is new around here. I was hoping to be in a house by now, but I guess there is another plan for us. I'm keeping myself busy by learning how to quilt. I will post pics when it is done. Dave is busy working 12 hour days and is preparing for a presentation he is giving in Reno next week for 200-300 people. YIKES! Bailey and Brynley keep busy by changing their clothes 10+ times a day. No kidding! They can get very creative at times.

Disneyland

We just took a much needed trip to Disneyland. We were in good company with the Bonner's and Cotterells and there was never a dull moment. I do have to be honest and say that 4 days in Disneyland is a little to much for us. By the third day I felt like a zombie walking around the park!

I was so proud of my little girls. I was a little bit worried that Bailey would be a little bit timid about going on certain rides, but she proved me wrong! She went on everything that she was tall enough to go on; including Space Mountain and The Tower of Terror!

Brynley's favortie ride was Monster's Inc. I got a good laugh while we were on the ride. I was looking at all of the white glowing in the black light and noticed that Brynley's hair was glowing as well! Her hair is so white, I love it!

The only thing that my girls seemed to be scared of were the characters. Well, unless it was a princess! We were able to have lunch with the princesses and of coure they loved every minute of it.

Best Buds

I just found these pictures and had to post them! We have so many wonderful memories of our home in Sunset Ponds, but some of my favorite memories are those we made with my friend(and neighbor) Cristelle and her beautiful little girls Ella and Bryn. This seems like a friendship that was meant to be since Bailey and Ella are best friends and Bryn and Brynley are best friends and just can't get enough of each other. It is going to be hard to not be 100 steps away (since that's all it was from their door to ours) but I know that these are friendships that will last. We love you guys!

Our friends the Bonners invited us to go flying with them this past weekend. It was really fun. I was really nervous so I tried acting as dorky as possible before we took off(excuse the pictures). It comes naturally! It was really neat because we could fly a lot lower than a commercial plane so we were able to see things a lot closer. We flew over Provo canyon and saw the beautiful leaves and we were having a great time talking to one another threw our headsets. And then the turbulence got to me. Let's just say that I felt bad for the other 3 people who were sitting all to close to me as I barried my head in a "sic sac"! Sorry guys!

Kindergarten

We just dropped little Bailey Boo off at kindergarten. I have been dreading this day for a long time. I feel like my babies are growing up too fast. I know that this sounds so cliche, but I feel like Bailey was born just yesterday. I have often thought that I would love to be able to freeze time and have my kids be little forever. Everytime that I think this I realize that many parents who loose children don't have the opportunity to watch them grow up. So, I have decided to let them grow up, but enjoy every minute that I have with them and never take a moment for granted! We love you Bailey.

Hawaii

We just got home from Hawaii today and I already miss it! We went with my family and had so much fun. Everytime I am in Hawaii I feel so laid back. I feel like I can stop and enjoy the little things about life that often get over looked in this busy world.

My girls had so much fun and Brynley thinks that the ocean is called "Hawaii"! They both acted like fish the whole time! It was hard to get them out of the water.

One of my favorite things about Hawaii is the Shaved Ice. I could have one of those everyday. They are so much better there than they are here. The ice is so much finer, the flavoring is better, and the best part is that there is ice cream in it!

My little brother Jeff got home from his mission on Wednesday! It was so good to see him. It is so weird that he had never met Brynley or my sister's husband Dusty until now. Little Graduate

Bailey just graduated from Super Start preschool. Her graduation was one of the cutest things that I have ever seen! I had a hard time fighting back the tears because I can't believe that she is off to kindergarten next year. She is a head shorter than all of the other kids which makes her look so much younger than they do, so I can't imagine how little she will look when she goes to elementary school. Bailey had a great preschool experience and will really miss her teachers and friends.

I can't believe that my sweet little Bailey just turned 5! She had a busy Birthday, she went to pre-school, played in our pool and had a dance recital. After the recital we went with her grandma's and grandpa's and had pizza and went to spoon me. I remember the day that she was born just like it was yesterday. Bailey has always been such a joy in our lives. She is sensitive, obedient, a great big sister and very sweet. Bailey, we love you and wish you a Happy Birthday and many more to come!

I love Easter! It is always great to be together with our families. I will need to remind the Easter bunny (again) to not go so over board next year. We have candy coming out of our ears, and the girls have been on a sugar high for about the past week. I am constantly telling myself that I need to get rid of the candy. However, I would be crazy to throw a perfectly good piece of chocolate away. So, it looks like the only way to get rid of it is to eat it!!!

Bailey and Brynley got a wagon from Santa this Christmas and Bailey has been asking Dave to put it together. Dave finally gave in and began gathering his tools. He then told Bailey that she needed to go upstairs because she was supposed to be taking a nap. Bailey said,"I need to stay up and watch how you put the wagon together so that when I have kids I will know how to do it." Dave agreed to let her stay up and watch him and continued to assemble the wagon. When he completed the wagon he said,"do you know how to do it now?" Bailey cleverly implied,"uhm, I think I will just let my husband do it!"

I love how they learn these things so young! I will post pics of the girls and their new wagon soon.

The picture pretty much says it all. Brynley loves walking around the house with all of her accessories on which usually include; a necklace, purse, cell phone(who taught her that?), high heel dress up shoes and for some reason a pair of Bailey's underwear around her neck!

Back to Reality

Dave and I just returned home from the most amazing cruise in the Caribbean islands! We flew to Puerto Rico and stayed a night and toured a little bit the next day until it was time to board the ship. Our cruise ship was called Serenade of the Seas.

We visited St. Thomas, St. Maarten, St. Lucia, Antigua and Barbados. They were all so beautiful and the weather was absolutely amazing. I would have to say that Barbados was my favorite island. The sand was as soft as flour and the ocean was bright turquoise.

There were many highlights of the trip but my favorite thing was probably being with Dave and hanging out with the people that he works with. I haven't laughed this hard in a long time.

Although it is nice to be home with my girls again I have been wondering where my maid and chef are all day. For some reason everytime I sit down at the kitchen table no one comes to bring me a menu! And what do you mean I have to make my own bed now?!

Bewitched

Sometimes I wish that I could be like Genie from the show Bewitched. I wish that I could wiggle my nose and have my house clean so that I can have more time to do the things that I enjoy doing like playing with my girls. Not to mention the fact that Brynley has been going through a very clingy stage lately and wants me to hold her constantly which makes the Bewitched life sound even more amazing. During those rare moments where Brynely leaves my side I feel like I am racing to get things done. So, yesterday I was thrilled that Bryn went downstairs to play with Bailey. I had carpet cleaners coming and I only had 1 hour to have my furniture moved and my house vacuumed. I was working like a mad woman upstairs and feeling very confidant that Brynley was in Bailey's care in the playroom. I finished the work upstairs and came downstairs to start the mad dash again and this is what I found!!!

Sledding

We went sledding on Saturday with the Beecrofts and Fowlers. We all had a great time. Well, everyone but Brynley that is! Brynley doesn't like to be cold and didn't think that sledding was such a great idea. I caught a smile on her face when she went down the hill with Bailey though. At the end of the day I wasn't sure if the adults or the kids had more fun!

Merry Christmas

I love this time of year! I love the food, the parties, spending time with our families, but most importantly I love reflecting on the birth of our Savior.

Yesterday as I was sitting in primary watching the kids act out the birth of Christ I felt so emotional. As I thought about what it must have been like for Mary to give birth to her precious son in a barn and lay him to rest in a manger it was hard to fight back the tears. I thought about the innocence of the children who were acting as Mary and Joseph and it seemed so right to have children acting in their behalf.

I am so grateful for the knowledge that I have that the Savior truly came to this World. He was born into the most humble circumstances and he died in the most humble circumstances. I love Him and am grateful for Him and the hope that he brings to each of us!

My cute friend Jenny had a Christmas party at her house with some friends from high school last night. We made yummy homemade pizzas, chatted and played a game called Rate Your Mate. It was fun to see everyone. It still seems so weird that we are all grown up and have kids now! Time flies by!

For some reason I have become obsessed with reading depressing blogs lately. I don't know why I do this to myself but I have been reading blogs that parents have made for their children who have passed away. I have had this heart wrenching feeling since I have been doing this, yet I still continue to do it.

I cannot even begin to imagine how hard it would be to lose a child. I often wonder how I could go on if I were to suffer such a loss. I have realized that I need to have more trust in my Heavenly Father. He has a plan for each of us and though it might not be what we think is best for us He knows more than we do and everything he does is for our own good. He gave His son for us and He prepared the way for us to return to live with Him again! I am so grateful for my Savior!!!

I am finally posting my Halloween pictures. I realize that it is the middle of November but these were just too cute to not post. We took our girls to our ward Trunk or Treat on Halloween and then went to my parents house for a little Trick or Treating. It did not take Brynley very to find out that she got candy just for sticking her bucket out. Bailey loved Trick or Treating at my parents house because their neighbors were handing out full sized candy bars. Some even gave her multiple candy bars and she had so much candy in her pail that it was to heavy for her to carry!

I was in the car the other day with my girls and I called someone an idiot. Bailey said,"Mom, what's an idiot?" I did not want her to know that I was saying something that wasn't very nice about someone so I decided to lie to her(that makes it better right?!) and tell her that an idiot was a very nice person. She reached over and pat Brynley on the head and said,"Hello little idiot!" Boy did I learn my lesson!

After we left our photo shoot I was feeling frustrated because my girls were not very cooperative(as children tend to be) but I was extatic when I saw their pictures. I had to take pictures of these pictures(I hope that is not illegal) so they look fuzzy and faded but I thought that she did a great job and the hardest part was deciding what pictures to get because I wanted them all! After some convincing I decided that it did not matter if it gets dirty or wrinkled since I won't be wearing it again so I gave in and let her try it on. My little peanut turned one. Brynley is so much fun! Although she is tiny(weighing in at 14 pounds and 7% in her height) she is a little ball of energy. Brynley is such a cuddly and happy baby and I am enjoying this stage so much!

My beautiful little sister Jenna got married June 19. It was a perfect day and she truly deserved it. Jenna looked so georgous and her wedding dress was one of the most amazing dresses that I have ever seen. Everywhere she went people would stop her and tell her how beautiful her dress was. Even people who were with oter brides! Jenna is my best friend and is always there for me and I love her so much. I wish her and her new hubby Dusty(who I absolutely love) the best!

I can't believe that my first little babe is 4. Where has the time gone? When I think about the fact that I have a four year old it makes me feel so old! I remember the day that sweet little Bailey was born just like it was yesterday. I will never forget how little she was at 5 pounds 12 ounces and her full head of dark brown hair. She has brought us more happiness than I ever thought possible. Bailey is all girl and truly believes that she is a princess. We love you Bailey.

Life has been so busy lately! We got Abby on Saturday and she is a very busy puppy. It has been quit the adjustment for me to balance a 3 year old, a baby, a puppy and all the other things that moms do. Needless to say, by the end of the day i'm exhausted. It has all been worth it though. We are all havig a great time with Abby and are excited to make many memories to come!

Ever since I was a little girl I have wanted to pierce my baby girls ears. Bailey got her ears pierced when she was 4 months old and since your not supposed to pierce their ears between the ages of 1 and 3 I decided that if I was going to pierce Brynley's I better hurry and do it. Dave has been begging to get a dog since we got married and when he showed me a picture of this darling little golden retriever I couldn't say no. We went to see her on Friday and she is so precious. My favorite thing about her is that she loves to cuddle. She is too young to take from her mother right now so we have to wait until May 7. We are so excited and decided to name her Abby!

The Easter bunny didn't want the girls to have candy this year for Easter so Bailey got a little shopping cart full of fun little toys and Brynley got a bumble bee basket with a little ducky. I think that the Easter bunny went a little over-board and will make sure not to do that next year!

We had some authentic Mexican seafood. I never thought in a million years that I would eat anything that had eyes staring back at me. I felt like I had to eat the food because we met a Mexican man named Jose who was so excited to take us to this restaurant and I couldn't be rude and refuse to eat. I was gagging as I was peeling the shrimp before I ate it but I made it through and I'm still alive!

Dave and I just got back from the Palace Resorts in Cancun, Mexico! I was so nervous to leave our little girls but I knew that they were in good hands with their nana's and papa's. We had so much fun together. The sun felt so good and the food was amazing. I did not want to come back home to the cold weather but I was so excited to see my girls.

We soaked up the sun this Christmas in California. The weather was sunny and beautiful the whole time which was a nice change from the snow here! We played at the beach, Sea World and Disneyland. We had such a great time.
