Something to be Thankful for

For some reason I have become obsessed with reading depressing blogs lately. I don't know why I do this to myself but I have been reading blogs that parents have made for their children who have passed away. I have had this heart wrenching feeling since I have been doing this, yet I still continue to do it.

I cannot even begin to imagine how hard it would be to lose a child. I often wonder how I could go on if I were to suffer such a loss. I have realized that I need to have more trust in my Heavenly Father. He has a plan for each of us and though it might not be what we think is best for us He knows more than we do and everything he does is for our own good. He gave His son for us and He prepared the way for us to return to live with Him again! I am so grateful for my Savior!!!

I totally agree Jaime. I actually had a scare with this tonight when Kolby passed out, turned blue, as was as limp as a rag doll (and I was alone, mind you). Heavenly Father does have a plan for us and I just keep telling myself that he knows me best. Reading things makes me more sympathetic towards others and grateful for the things and people I do have. You are great! :)

I completely agree with you. It is such a scary thought. He does know what we can handle and He has gone through it already and felt the pain. We are so lucky and blessed to know that we can be an eternal family and we will see all our loved ones again. That is the greatest blessing. He made that possible for us. I love you.

What a wonderful post! I too torture myself sometimes looking at these sad blogs, and I just feel SO bad for them, but I think we learn from them too, get a little perspective check and become more grateful for our Savior and His plan. Thanks for posting that :)

I love that picture of the Savior. Thank you for reminding us that we will be taken care of no matter what. I have hope in the Savior. I think you are so cute and I had a great time with you the other night. Let's set up that dinner date with your neighbor like we talked about. Call me!

I agree with you aswell. We are so blessed to have all that we have. We so easily take it for granted. But you are so sweet and tender hearted, your children are sooooo lucky to have you as their role model! Thanks for sharing this sweet post!

Oh I know! It's so scary to even let that thought go thru our minds. I can't even imagine my life w/out my family. Thanks for that post J!

Good post! I always look at coopers (and a few others) blog and am soooo thankful for them and their examples. We have a lot to learn and go through and it really makes you sooo thankful for what we have. And it is comforting to know that if something does happen it will all be okay. Hard but managable with Him. Thanks!

Hey hun! Darling blog...your girls are absolutely beautiful! I haven't seen you for so long...your family looks darling and it sounds like you guys are doing well! Maybe we can keep in touch better through our blogs :). About your latest blog...what a touching post. I steer clear of the sad blogs cause they consume my thoughts and I'm constantly worrying about my own family. What a miraculous gift our savior has given us. Keep in touch...I miss you!
